World War Z was a really promising co-op zombie shooter in a while. I mean who doesn’t want to kill a horde of zombies while they march at you with their bloody teeth. And now all that zombie-killing rampage is going to be upgraded with lots of new content. World war z aftermath is the new expansion to the series with expanded game mechanics, new maps, and stories. So let’s dive into all the new content we are getting with World War Z Aftermath expansion.
New First Person perspective
World War Z Aftermath adds a new first-person perspective to the game which gives it a Left for Dead vibe and differentiates it from other zombie horde-killing game contenders like Days Gone. Now you can have all the bloody fun in a more immersive up-close and personal view and it attracts all those FPS fans who have a very strict only fps games rule and don’t like third-person games that much.
Dual Wielding melee combat system
A new intense melee system has been added where you can dual-wield weapons like sickles, cleavers, fire axe, sledgehammers, and baseball bats. In close encounters with hordes when aiming becomes difficult, new melee moves can be a game-changer. It’s not just gonna make the game more brutal and fun but can also help you preserve some ammo. 8 new character classes have been introduced in World War Z Aftermath along with the Vanguard class which lets you wield an electric shield and march through zombie hordes like a raging bull. New Melee moves and perks have also been added.
New threats: Flesh Hungry Rats
Flesh-eating plague rats have been added as a new threat in-game, which requires you to change your approach and use more unconventional weapons like flamethrowers and etc. If you are not extra careful, you will find yourself in swarms of plague rats and the next thing you know is that you are dead. Rat swarms are a great addition to this survival shooter which could result in more intense encounters.
New Maps and locations
Many new international locations have been added. One of them is Rome as we saw in the World War Z Aftermath Gameplay overview trailer. You will be fighting to free the Vatican city from flesh-eaters, And the fight even extends to catacombs and even to Rome’s colosseum. Kamchatka peninsula from Russia is added as a playable map.
New Daily Rewards System for more Engagement
A brand new rewards system was implemented so you will have new challenges and bonus rewards every day when you play the game.
With the first-person view being the highlight of this expansion the game already looks great. If you don’t own the previous game don’t worry this is not just an expansion, it also has all the content of the previous game. All the new content sounds amazing and what’s more amazing is that it’s coming this year in 2021.
